Removing the clutch hose 10mm nut

Post by MY92 »

Any tips to get the clutch hose off the 10mm nut holding it to the steel line?

I'm close to rounding it, was thinking I might try some vice grips on it and a 17mm spanner on the clutch hose.

I have soaked it in a bit of CRC 556

Any tips would be much appreciated.
John

use flair wrench

Use a flair (nut) wrench. It is like the box end on a combination wrench with a cut out section so you can put the box over the steel tube and then onto the hex nut. You can then use it as a box end combination wrench to get a much better grip on the nut than just an open end.
