This is the list so far of replacement parts I should get, Im sure theres other stuff...

If that pitchstop is the one that connects the tranny to the firewall you can forget it. I really see no point in it unless yours is broken.

They do make Group N top mounts that will fit.

Yes they make group N top hats for the rear.

I wouldn't worry about the pitch stop mount.

I'd do the steering rack bushings.

If you want to do more suspension stuff, I'd suggest the super pro bushings for the lateral links, trailing arm, etc.

There's more, but it depends on how crazy you want to get. I've pretty much replaced every bushing on my car minus the rear diff support with STi bushings. Road noise & vibration is MUCH MUCH worse.

I have a set of front STI mounts and have considered getting a rear set, but I don't want the additional NVH that I noticed with these in my wagon.

If you don't care about that, then they're awesome, otherwise get KYB OE replacements from Tire Rack and get back to as good as new.

I want to get as crazy as is going to make a difference to handling. The car isnt going to be a daily driver anymore.

Then do it all ;)

Like I mentioned the only bushing I haven't replaced is the rear diff mount. Everything else is hard rubber or poly.

Josh,

How bad is it really? Something that could be masked with sound deadening material?

It's tolerable for an occasional driver.....as a daily driver.....it'd probably get old.

I'm copying and pasting what I said in my pm

There's two ways to deal with road noise. You can either insulate from it, or if you're trying to combat vibration, you can use dynamat to lower the resonant frequency of the body panel so it doesn't make audiable vibration noise.

Dynamat probably wouldn't be my first choice for sound deadoning for under the carpet.

I looked at doing sound deading in the doors, and just didn't feel it was worth it.

FWIW, I think the poly bushings are more complient then the STi rubber bushings.

Road noise and other stuff like that is more high frequency....and the way to deal with that is by absorbing it. So a porous foam or something that absorbs sound will have more effect then your normal roll on dynamat sound deadening material.

I'd have to say no. The problem is not stuff buzzing everywhere (which can happen). But more like everything vibrating un-audibly. I can tell how high my engine is revving through the gas pedal.

You will never make that sort of thing go away (shaking your pedals, and seats and stuff) unless you go back to softer mounts.

I don't think its horrible, but as Vikash pointed out to me its definitely noticeable when he rode in my car. Getting into his Soob2 (the stock one) it reminded me of how much vibration I did NOT have before.

I don't remember my Legacy being that vibrationy, but it made so many other noises that I never really cared to notice I suppose.

Hmm, I'll have to see what to do.
