Loss of power while driving???
So i get in my wgn let it warm up for a 2 minutes and pull out of the parking lot, drive 1 mile and get on the express way.. I get on and give her some gas to get going and around 50mph I lose all power from the motor.... The engine does nothing while I pump the gas pedal, so I pull over and turn the engine off... Now it doesn't want to start, it just turns over and over acting like it wants to start... So after a minute I tried again and it got started..... I revved her up and she sounded fine... I get going again and she drives like nothing happened.. I do have one code and its 35, now that wouldn't cause this to happen in my mind.... I'm feeling more on the MAF end.... Has anyone else had this kind of problem? Let me know what you guys did???

I second MAF issues. Try cleaning it with alcohol and a Q-tip and resetting the ECU before you go and replace it.

Interesting... I have code 35 as well which doesn't have anything to do with the MAF sensor, but sounds like the same problem and the code didn't go away when I changed the temp sensor. Wonder why it's a weird reading?
EDIT: haha, whoops, I was thinking of my other CEL code. My bad, doesn't seem like QUITE the same thing now.

Alright I got home last night and cleaned the MAF w/q-tip and alcohol, and hopefully reset the computer.... I still get my code 35, but I'm thinking of going the resistor option on that fix... I'll keep you posted on the cleaning the MAF and if it works.... Thanks everyone for your advice...

Cleaning it will probably not work. It should be replaced.

Cleaning fixed mine - I just think he should do that first before just replacing it.Legacy777 wrote:Cleaning it will probably not work. It should be replaced.
