I am 99.999% sure it is a wheel bearing. Just want to clear it up before I go buying stuff.
Sounds like my left rear wheel is constantly driving on gravel. Gets louder with speed, stays consistant through corners and reverse.
Wheel bearing, right?
It's cheaper/easier to change the entire hub. What hubs cross reference with it? I have heard impreze, but what model/year? I think there is a 1.8 at the junkyard. Not a sport model or anything. Just a grociery getter. Will that work? Do I need both reear hubs for it to be even? Or are they exactly the same?
Thanks.
BTW, I did a search and just couldn't find the answers I was looking for.

Yeah it's probably the wheel bearing.
I would suggest a legacy rear hub. The impreza hubs tended to have the crappier bearings. Just make sure you get one that is the same drivetrain (ie AWD), and if you have ABS, you'll need one from an ABS car.
The ABS hubs will work on the non-abs cars, but not vice-versa.
