Are the turbo and NA auto trannies a direct swap?

different final ratios, the N/A is typically 4.11, the turbos are 3.9 therefore the rear differencial will not be correct.. so you would need to put the NA diff in also... along with that the clutches are different also

I think the reason he's asking (since hopefully I'm getting his '94 SS 4eat and rear diff from him) is with the rear diff and 4eat, what else is required to swap an 94 SS 4eat into a 1990 4eat NA legacy...

If I recall properly the TCU is different but they are interchangeable. Aside from that they should be a direct interchange provided you change the rear diff also.

torque converters are different.
the flexplate which is bolted to the crank is different between turbo and N/A.

yes, those also... sorry, forgot that about the torque converter/flex plate.
