stereo removal to wire in gauges...

Post by shemoves »

having trouble getting the stereo surround pieces off. I got the center console/armrest section off, and the little piece under the ash tray, but the portion that surrounds the stereo is still really on there. Any help is appreciated.

There are two screws behind the cup holder and two screws under the ashtray (coming up from the bottom). I cant remember if there are more screws... Im not sure if you got the ones that go UP near the ashtray. When you remove the ashtray, you can feel around the upper surface where it sat - you will feel 2 screws...

Good luck...

Thanks for the pics. I figured there would be screws @ the cup holder. Funny thing though...it won't come out all the way. Even after pusing the little 'latch' on the top. I'll have to go out there and jack around with it more later this week.
