saab 900 intercooler

Post by 92ss satinsvoice »

hello, everyone. i was thinking on geting a saab 900 intercooler and installing it and use it till i can aford to install my front mount.

anyone know the max boost one of these intercoolers can handle from a vf11?

it looks pretty easy to install and it will fix some of the problems im having with my car.

you won't really want to do anything more than 12 psi on a VF11, as they become quite inefficient after that

yeah 15psi is pushing it. On the vf11 at even 10 psi you notice the lack of top end, and at 15psi it would fall on its face so hard after 4500 that it would feel like you lifted off the throttle.

hmm, that sucks. im running 12psi right now with no intercooler  . i ran an m3 bmw and was pulling on him. witch i shit my self in amazement. my car started to over heat alittle, coolent was coming out of the over flow : (. what ever...

anyways ive decided NOT to get the saab intercooler. instead i got a 02 wrx one! it will be about a month till i install it but what ever. my car is almost prepped for the install and i just got it tonight.

we will see how it works... pic's?

It fits, but it is quite a tight fit. Mine doesn't rest in its final position until you shut the hood and it gets pushed down that extra little bit.
