boost gauge wiring issue

hwy guys, I wired up my autometer boost gauge and it works fine but the light in it only goes on when my high beams are on. any suggestions?

Where did you tap into for power for the light? Sounds like you have things mixed up with the wiring.

Thats the issue I had a friend wire it up for me. But I don't get to talk to him often and see him even less so I was hoping I could just fix it myself if it aint that hard.

Tap into the radio light wire- that would be the easiest.

Or multi meter and find one of the dash lights power.
