The Corvair In Action

Post by schspeedster »

1960 Chevrolet promotional video, for their new compact car powered by a 6-cyl aircooled boxer motor behind the back seat. Weight distribution gives awesome braking with non-power-assisted drums on all fours, responsive non-power-assisted steering. Great traction too they take it thru mud, fields and a stream (with 1950's pre-radial tires). Late-model turbos were 180HP in a car weighing 2500 lbs.
