Suspension and SNOW

Post by JTSPEED »

I would like to mod my suspension since the on ramps at 80mph are getting to roll my car like a pirate ship. But im afraid when i change my suspension to something aftermarket it will be too low and my bumper will act as a snow plow in the winter. Anyone suggest a kit for good handling but no too low for snow in denver?

I had some AGX's for a WRX with JDM STi Pink Springs. It only lowered the car a little, but MAN did it stick! It was a really great setup. I also had camber/caster plates up front, which raised the front a bit.

It's pretty close to Jamal's setup, and the stance on his car is dead on.

I think it depends on how much snow you're actually going to be driving in. If it's occasionally, and bumper-height, then it shouldn't be a big deal. Traction is the important thing at that point.

Yes, you want to be worried about your spring rates. If you get spring rates that are pretty high, stability in snow is greatly reduced.

If you are worried about your ride height, consider a ground control kit. Also look into getting tokico struts instead of AGXs, better strut with a better range of dampening
