this morning my car died. when trying to start it illuminates
the dash but no spark or ignition..
so then i give it some gas.. and try again..
boom it starts..
later on in the afternoon when im off work..
i start smelling dog doo smell..
it went away when i gave it a car wash.. unsure if its related..
anyways.. i tried starting.. and it struggled and made this
crazy noise like..ruk ruk ruk and it sounded like the fan on highspeed
not 3 seconds later when i move the car.. IT GOES AWAY...
im WTF?
so i drive it downtown keep it running to insure it doesnt stall..
and drive it to my mechanics house..
i get there turn it off.. and start it again to see.. (its not there anymore) another wtf?
so when i leave it there and return to it to oversee my mechanic..
i start it.. starts fine.. yea.. scary?
so.. he takes the spark plug wires off.. the top of the engine and we test the starting and it turns over fine.. but the first set.. it struggled.. then after we tried a couple times worked worked worked.. and with the wires worked..
so can anyone tell me an explanation with this?
so far we have concluded its the starter or starter solenoid.
which costs 180
its the stock starter.. so it could of been due for a change..
but the plugs are new. wires i would think and pcv valve all new..
iridium plugs .. if it makes a diff
