Hi, Im new to this board but I have been searching it for a few weeks while I complete my EJ22T swap into my 95 legacy. The engine came from a recycler and the car was wrecked beyond all hope. Now I finally got the engine installed but it wont start. As the starter turns over it almost sounds like it gets stopped by something and then keeps going. Sounds very strange, I have no idea how else to describe it. Now, as far as the timing belt, I set it so that the notches on the cam sprokets line up on their notches. The crank sprocket is lined up on the mark above it(on the crank position senders mount) and the mark on the sensor tooth(not the arrow). Ive checked the ignition with a timing light, but I got it at harbor freight and I can barely see the light, but I do see a flash on all 4 plug wires. I have unburnt fuel coming from the exhaust so Im sure Im getting fuel. The battery is reading 11.96v. I dont have the radiator hooked up, Im just trying to get the engine started before completing the rest. I am using an emanage unit with the fuel and ignition harness, but I have not defined any maps yet. Any ideas? Thanks

I'm not super familiar with the greddy products, but is the emanage blue a piggy back or stand alone.
If you're trying to use the 95 n/a ECU, you may run into issues. That was sort of a weird year, and some of the pins may be different for the cam/crank sensors.
So if you just plugged in the engine harness, that may explain things. Can you provide a little more info on what all you did with the wiring.

HELL YEAH!!!
My dumb ass put the coil on backwards...
I noticed cuz I had the old one sitting on my desk and realized the sticker on it should be facing forward and the way I had the Dodge coil put the harness facing to the drivers side... fired up first time! It was LOUD cuz I only have a 3" downpipe for an exhaust. Now Im gonna install the radiator and get my exhaust put together so I can drive the beast and tune it! I will only be running about 12psi max on this for now so I needed something to tune the engine with and I wanted to be able to change the spark advance as well. It should be fine for now, I will upgrade to an ultimate(already have the harness) or I will go with stand alone.
