Gauge dead? Stuck at on Vauum 20 in.hg

Post by Boostedleg »

Just installed my boost/vacuum gauge and its stuck at 20 in.hg on the vacuum side, will not move at all, My guess.. gauge is dead which is gay because its brand new. Will not move while driving, I tapped in the line coming of the intake manifold on the passenger side, Any other ideas?

The guage is probably dead. If you take the line off the gauge, do you get vacuum when the engine is running?

Mechanucal gauges can be sensative to other objects toutching the input. I had that issue with my oil pres guage. I loosened it up a bit and it worked like a charm. If its completely free, its prob dead.
