Hello all, I have been a long time reader. I have searched this problem but couldnt find much help.

so heres the deal I have automatic 94 legacy turbo. it keeps stalling out or the rpms drop to nothing once the car trys to go into 2nd gear. I try to hit the gas but nothing happens. this lasts for a mile or two and then all of a sudden its fine again. this has happened twice.

I tryed to get the code but its too light out. Ill have to get them tonight.

Any ideas? I was thinking possibly fuel filter, vacume puncture, or sensor problem.

Thanks for your help in advance.

You getting a check engine light? Wonder if a exhaust converter might need to be replaced.

You need to pull the ECU & TCU codes. Both procedures are on my site under the notes & tips section, engine related, trans related.

That would be the Air flow sensor.

No.....that would be the engine revolution signal, since he was checking the TCU.

There is a line going from the ECU to TCU that tells the TCU what the engine rpm is.

Did you also check the ECU?
