Does anyone in eastern CT who has experience doing a few timing belts feel like helping me do mine in the next few weeks? I'm pretty mechanically inclined, just afraid of screwing up the marks & tooth count & getting it all back together correctly. Will probably try to do all the other little plastic/rubber parts in there too. Car only has 108K mi, is it worth doing water pump & thermostat? How long should all this take without problems?
Will offer cash, beer, and pizza.
Thank you,
Tony

Drive it to Eastern PA and I'll give you a hand...
If you can spare the $100 for a water pump get it, if not just do the crank/cam gaskets and belt.
Before you take the old belt off, turn the crank till all of the marks on the pulleys line up. Don't worry about lining up the marks on the old belts, they only line up with the pulley marks every ?? rotations.
Undo the tensioner then take the old belt off.
Then just line up the marks on the belts with the marks on the wheels. I like to start with the Passenger side cam and use a small clip or clothespin to hold it in place. Then the crank, Then the Driver side.

Honestly, I think you're way too worried about messing this up. It's pretty easy and worst case senario, it runs a little rough and you have to take it off and give it another go. You have a non-interference engine so don't worry.
You can do it
