Bumper AND beam swap?

Post by beatersubi »

So I've done what I feel is the necessary searching and haven't found a suitable answer to my question.
Which is...
I know that in order to swap bumpers from pre- to post-facelift, and vice-versa, you need to swap basically the rest of the front bodywork. The bumpers skins look to be mostly the same where they meet the rest of the car. I also know that the mounting points are different between pre- and- post bumper skins.
But what I'm wondering is, will the pre- bumper beam swap onto a post- car?
Anyone have any light to shed on this?
(I have two turbo bumpers for my car, one post-, and one pre- with bumper beam. I'd prefer the pre, because I'm looking at a set of factor fogs for it.)
Thanks in advance.

got pics of my 93 with pre bumper, it's non-turbo and EDM though.

The bumper attaches with no problems, but it aligns not well with the headlights and leaves an ugly gap.

Thanks guys, thats what I was looking for.
I'm gonna try it, and if I don't like it there'll prolly be a pre-facelift turbo bumper with factory fogs in the parts shed.
