Well, after much debate on whether we (Matt/legacy92ej22t & myself) put the clutch disc on right, Phil called & confirmed we were correct and get to putting the motor back together. All of this comes after my broken head bolt from earlier this week. So on to installing everything back on the motor. Only real big deal was the motor mounts needed to be guided a 1/2" so they'd go into the holes. Everything lined up and no extra hardware left over either! Disconnect the coil pack and turn the motor over several times to prime the oil system. Done. Check everything one last time. Done. Reconnect the coil pack & start the car. Success!!! <------ That was short lived...
After the initial burn off of cleaning solvents, the smoke continued at the back of the motor. Yep, the motor is leaking oil and at a good steady drip too. After pin pointing the location, we discover that the rear main seal I installed likely did not seat correctly or was bad and is allowing nice new engine oil to pour out the back.
That was the last straw for me... This week, it's going to one of the local private Subaru garages to have them pull the tranny & replace the rear main seal. I'm done working on that car for a very long time!

A VERY big thank you goes out to Matt Barnes for his assistance & time spent away from the family. He's always been one hell of a guy and did nothing but bend over backwards to help me out. Also, many thanks to Phil for confirming we did not need to pull the motor back out to flip the clutch disc around.
