Drivers side handle/lock problems

Post by Slicksuby »

The drivers side handle is loose and therefore does not function opening or locking the door but the inside handle works perfectly. Anyone know how to take this off to fix it, I couldn't find any screws holding it in and am unsure how to go at it. Its a 92 legacy L wagon, please help, I'm currently locking car from the passenger side...

the handle mounts using 2 10 mm nuts up behind the latch mechinism. Kind of hard to see, but they can be removed adn installed if your pateint adn have smal fingers (I don't, but managed anyway). As for why its loose: it may have broken the tab, or the linkage may have just come loose. Look everything over VERY closely before you pull the handle out.
