Dude that's SICK and looks like SOOOO much fun!!!!!!!!!

I'd love to set up a dirt only course around here. They have SCCA events around here, but they are all on pavement....

Yeah, that looks like a LOT of fun. So, how'd you do?

I wanna do it too. How do I get involved? Where do I start?

I didnt do that well cuz I was the only one running on street tires, and I knocked both my front tires off the rims, resulting in missing the last 3 runs on day one, giving me 3 DNFs...

I scored second last overall, beating an 02 WRX on gravel tires.

You get involved by finding out where the closest rally club is, and asking them when and where they're holding their next events.

All you need is a safe car (read: battery tied down, wheels not falling off), a helmet (or someone to loan you one) and a little faith in your car.

These cars will take some ridiculously brutal punishment. I was drifting sideways through blasting rock, hitting smallish boulders with the side of my wheel, and the ONLY damage was losing those two tires, and the dent in my door when I kicked it for blowing up the tires on me :P

The neon and blue civic did awesome, they were the top 2 cars. Beating out the RSTI and WRX by a large margin.

Really, really good drivers.

The toyota gave up after the first day so it wasnt even included in the results.

Please tell me I didn't just read that a Neon beat out an AWD Subaru on a dirt course...! What is this world coming to? Next thing you know, day will be night and fish will be swimming through the air!

The neon beat 4 subarus.

A skilled driver is far more important than power to 2 extra wheels.

I know I know, but it's the thought of it that makes me ill. I totally agree though, I've seen FWD cars beat out AWD & RWD cars at SCCA events because the driver of the FWD car was that good.
