STi V2 RA Heads...

Post by BXSS »

Are V2 ('95) STi RA heads better (port/cams) than '98 GF8 EJ20G heads or '95 GF8 EJ20G heads?

I'm going to build a franken-motor & want to use the best heads I have on a rodded/pistoned ej22t shortblock.

95 EJ20G heads are only hydraulic and not good for power. 98 heads are shim over and I do know that the STi version of the same era are "big port". V2 STi RA are shim under, but nothing special other than that.

FYI, almost any solid lifter heads should be good for power. Unless you are chasing more than 400whp. Enough people are running big numbers on stock heads around the world.
