06 WRX Swap, Slip Slip

Post by RossoGSX »

So, as I assumed and everyone else assumed, my stock BE clutch is just not holding up at all to the torque of the WRX Motor.

I work at a Suby shop, and we have lots of parts laying around. I was wondering if there is any stock clutch that will work with a push style clutch and hold the torque?

I dont really have $550 for an ACT, so i need some help. Thanks guys.

ouch, I TRIED the '06 WRX clutch setup. It SLIPPED as well with my '00 OBS tranny mated up to it. It just DIDN'T work....

I swapped it back out and rounded off 3 of the 6 pucks on the ACT disc and put my Exedy stg1 pressureplate and my stock flywheel on. I NOW have an ACT heavy duty pressureplate on it.

The '06 WRX clutch just doesn't work 100%......sad to say

*sigh*
