Weird Brake problem

Post by Ej22TIM »

I have a 93 ss with abs.
I engaged my abs a few weeks ago on an icy road and the next morning my cars brakes just go right to the floor, and also when they lock up all the way on the floor, only the 2 passenger side brakes lock up.
i bled the brakes, and everything went ok until a few days later I was backing out of my driveway and the abs cycled and somehow got air in my brakes again.
so this time I re-bled, and unplugged the abs, the problem came back about 2 weeks later.
what is going on?
do i need a new abs pump?
any help is appreciated guys.

Yeah, sounds like you may have an issue with the ABS unit.

Have you looked for leaking brake fluid anywhere? That's where I'd start. Check for brake fluid leaking somewhere.
