portable port scanner for OBD1

boys
here in area my local car electronic repaper have portable port scanner :wink: :wink: coverd most famous car. today he try to seach about port that he can make scan to the ecu. he didnot find it. my q. is port scanner inculed just OBD2

You can check your fault codes with OBD1 without a scanner. There are two pairs of connectors, one green and one black, below the steering column under the dashboard. The connectors are usually unplugged. One plugs will make the check engine light flash a failure code if there's a problem. I can't remember which one it is, but you can search for it if no one else chimes in after me.

The thing you'll need is a book to tell you what the codes mean. I'm not sure they are the same for every market car.

Supposedly this cable and cd reads live stream data for the obd1 Subaru Legacy, not sure of its success with our cars though.

If anyone tries it in live mode with success to see tables let me know

In which case, yes it will read live values from the ECU.
