Looking for a 2.5" exhaust??? In the cold
Hey my first post on any forum ever!!!! I must be Legacy crazy.
Tempted to put down my whole story and ask advice on everything, but I'll try and hide my excitment (like I have to when my mom or girlfriend are around) and stick to the point.
I just bought a 94 5spd Legacy Turbo (SS means sedan??). I had my 06 2.5 rs stolen 2 months ago and all of my friends have stock WRX's. In short I want to give my friends a run for their money power wise and go get back the handling that I had in the 2.5rs .
I plan on having the heads P&Pd and the turbo rebuilt (all pending answers to my other posts to come), a boost controler installed and bring the psi to around 10.
Now I have been reading day and night on this forum and I have decided to go with a 2.5" exhaust. I imagine that at 2.5" I won't have any trouble finding a shop that will custom bend most of the underside.
The question is where can I get a 2.5"downpipe?? or up-pipe, either will do. Stainless is not nessisary ( I won't have the car for more than 2 years.)
Idealy a complete exhaust at a reasonable price, 500$ seems reasonable.
Thanks for any help.

SS = Sport Sedan.
You'll DEFINATELY be able to give a stock WRX a run for its money. Lol.
I personally went with a 3" exhaust, just because I know that it will never be a restriction for HP gains. The parts I'm using an Espelir EGT 500 Cat-back for a WRX and an E-Bay WRX downpipe.
Lol it works great and sounds great. You can get an entire E-bay exhaust for a WRX for around $200 and all that will need to be done is have about a 1 foot extension welded in, otherwise everything will bolt up fine.

Well if you're looking for a downpipe do NOT buy a stock WRX or STi downpipe. They both have cats in them.
But I just bought an ebay WRX/STi 3" bellmouth downpipe. It does cause a little boost creep but not much.

Conclusion
Well, I called the thread looking for a 2.5 inch exhaust because I thought that it would be cheaper to aquire 2.5" vs 3". Turns out 3" is much more popular with the WRX crowd and so are easier to find and end up being cheaper.
I found a used 3" bellmouth turbo back locally for 500$. It's catless and amazinngly it has a bung for an O2 sensor at the top of the down pipe. (for the WRX setup it's plugged with a bolt) Can't say what brand it is, and neither could the guy I bought it from.
Thanks everyone
It's going to be instaled this week, I'll post the results here.
