noisy lifters? try this

Post by jefferson »

Got a tip from subychris94 the other day that he kind of stumbled on and it has worked for me everytime as it has for him. Thought I would pass it along.

If you start your engine and your lifters are making a racket, shut your engine off and then restart it. End of racket. Can't say for sure why it works, but it does. Try it.

OR... If you are NA... You could have the rocker arms swapped out from a '97 2.2L...

NO more Lifters!!! All solid!!!

We had it done to my FWD and it works great. Dale at Northwest Subaru service suggested it!
