ok so i am new here and i have a couple questions about my legacy. I have a 94 legacy does this mean it is a turbo or no and also can it be a turbo and an automatic. If someone could post a pic of a 94 turbo that would be great to thanx.
Under the hood look for a large black pipe that comes from the center of the back part of the engine. It will go to the left. If it is short and goes down into the engine then you have a turbo. But if it is long and goes all the way to the fender area, your is non-turbo.
Hope this helps.

If you still have the TOP engine cover, it'll say TURBO on it. If the intake plumbing from your airbox doesn't go DIRECTLY from the airbox to the throttle box, it's a turbo model. If it DOES go directly from airbox to throttle body, it's a non-turbo model.
wtf man just open the door and read the welded on badge on the door jam that say either turbo sport sedan or just fwd or awd sedan
and yes the type of transmission does play a role on wether or not your car has a turbo!!!

Friendly correction: 94 T-Legs were available with 5-speed manual
or the 4EAT automatic trans. You are correct if you meant that the
4EAT in the T-Legs is different than the one in the non-turbo cars,
however IIRC the differences are all internal and I doubt the OP
is gonna take it apart and start counting teeth.
sorry about that guys i meant that "it doesnt matter weither or not your car is auto or manual it can still be turbo" thank you for pointing out my fault
my car is auto turbo so sorry guys!!
