I just got some 96 leather seats out of a outback LSI that seem to line up good in my 93 AWD wagon. My auto belt is broken and I hate them anyway. Can I just put the manual belts in from the 96 outback and if so do you remove the whole auto belt system or just the part on the door pillar. It looks like if you remove the upper track part of the auto belt that there will be no where to remount the interior door trim? If the manual belts won't work from the 96 can I get a earlyier year manual belt to work? I already ripped out the auto belt motor but left the upper track system so the interior trim would would have some place to mount. I would love to just yank the whole system if possibe??
Thanks for ANY help

I'd recommend searching, as this has been talked about before. Essentually, you're on the right track, the A pillar auto belt assembly needs to remain in place so the trim can be put back.
