Hey guys,

Have another 20 sets of braces being made for West Coast Subaru Show. I am offering them to you first at the same show price! Let's get some of these babies installed!

http://www.simplysubie.com/Performance.html

Image

What do they do?

They tie the lower a-pillar subframe to the upper front frame member to provide tiangulation of the junction between the two. The stock braces are made of stamped steel and can be bent over your thigh. These braces are a one of a kind solid aluminum piece. There is no comparison.

What are they made of?

6061 T6 Aluminum plate

What are the benefits?

After installing these you can feel a great improvement in front end stability for such a small part. Instead of having the chassis absorb the shock, let your shocks and springs do it! After all that's what they're there for.

Turn in is improved, steering response is better, and the overall point and shoot method of driving the car is improved. I love this mod.

Tools Needed For Installation:

Flat head screwdriver
Needlenose pliers
Phillips screwdriver
10mm socket with extension
14mm socket with extension
3/8" drive rachet

What do they fit?

90-94 Legacy Sedans and Wagons
02-07 WRX Sedans and Wagons
99+ RS Models
98+ Forester Models
04-07 STi Models
SOME 93-01 Impreza L models will require two holes to be drilled and tapped.

How much are they?

Special WCSS offer of $79. Normal retail value of 99.99

Each set comes with new Grade 8 bolts and washers, aswell as installation guide.

Available in two finishes.

1. Polished Aluminum
2. Royal Sports Blue

Order yours today! Will have them boxed up, ready to ship or pick up by August 12th!

Paypal or credit card accepted pm for more information

is fender removal required for install

by livestrong14
Nope, not on models that already have braces there. The only ones that will require the fenders to be pulled are those that need holes drilled (Impreza L models)

Yep, it's all in the instructions! Wheel comes off, drop fender liner, and unbolt!

So tempting... do you plan on producing more in the future? They aren't quite in my budget yet.

I am going to get back on the difference. Once I receive them. Hoping eliminates most flexing noises when turning and accelerating. This along with a strut bar should make the car have no flex upfront. Well I guess a lower brace would help to :D

no, sorry. It is $79 plus shipping. Which is usually about $10 U.S. and about $17 to Canada. Depends on where you are located.

Here's one of the Imprezas where the holes need to be tapped (my 95 L Wagon pictured)

Just the two circled by the door. The ones closest to the hood are just for reference and are already tapped.

So let me ask this, when I drill through and tap the metal, are there actually nuts back there or is it just held in by the body?

To be honest, we don't know yet. These have only been installed on WRX, RS, and 90-94 Legacy models up until this point. We need somebody to try it!
