Widest tire on an SRT4?

Post by BAC5.2 »

Anyone know? Long shot, but I want to know if a 245 will fit on an 18x8.5 et 38.

SRT forums seem to only be concerned with 15" drag radials or the widest tire on a stock rim. I need a wide street wheel/tire combo that'll clear a set of coilovers and the fenders a set of 328mm Stoptechs and being able to KIND of handle 600whp. I'm thinking 245/35/18 Dunlop Direzza Star Spec Z1's.

I want to finish the SRT so we can get started on building out his Miata.

Check out Neons.org. Youll find a resource very much like what is available here. And quite a few of the old timers are SRT4 guru's. SRTforums is the equivalent to our nastioc and the info can be equally difficult to acquire.

Thanks!

Flame me all you want. I'm building a 600whp, 2.8L, caged out drag car. The car is sitting at our cage builders right now about to get torn apart and welded back together. The motor is going to go together sometime next week and be put in the car the following.

Once it's done, we get to play with his Spec Miata. It's going to be de-specified to say the least. Hello built motor and turbo. It'll be the second 350whp Miata we've done this summer!

600hp, 2.8L drag car or not, you still have to manually crank your rear windows up
