Stumped, No spark

Post by JabberWalkie »

I have a 1990 Legacy and I am having some trouble getting it started. The problem first arose when I was trying to get my ABS error codes via some sketchy information on the intertubes. There was some smoke, so I defiantly shorted something out. Now, I am not getting any spark. In a flash of stupidity I jumped these two cables together:

This may not be the cause of the problem, but this is what I have checked/done so far. I have checked the resistances on the ignition coil, i have replaced the igniter and the ECU (that was a quite a pain). Checked battery voltage (of course). And I have checked the ignition relays. I have no clue why it is not sparking....Help!!!

If you aren't getting a trigger signal (cam and crank) you will get no spark.

Have you checked all your fuses?

If you connected that pin to the yellow connector, you may have fried something in the ECU.
