I need the upper water tank for my 91 SS. One nipple has been broken off and JB welded back on (not by me).
Dealer wants $105... I was hoping for something south of that.
Have paypal ready....

Assuming you are talking about the coolant tank, instead of replacing it with another plastic one (chances are you will not find one anyway), try this.

Head over to nasioc and look through the car part out threads.

I don't know that I would call the plastic ones pieces of crap. We are dealing with 15 year old cars that are just now having them break. And Subaru has gone back to plastic on these, so claiming that the metal ones are better may be premature. I've seen a couple of the metal ones split at the seem where the top is crimped on to the base.
If you want an original Legacy one that requires no modification and will get your car back on the road ASAP, shoot me a PM. I've got one, maybe two of them. $25 shipped in the lower 48. Add $10 for Canadia. Buyer to cover pay pal fees.

If you find a threaded brass nipple a little larger than the piece which has broken off, you can screw it into the hole with some JB weld, and it actually works better than what was on there to begin with.
Thats how I fixed mine, and it has held up just fine.

I'm getting an unbroken used one from Matt, but I may experiment with the old one to see if it's viable for a backup or as a mock-up for relocation when I do my IC.
The problem is that right now it's holding - the kid I bought the car from already JB welded it. If I take it off and mess with it I might have a huge mess on my hands if I can't get the (massive pile of) JB weld off to attempt a quality repair that *I* have faith in.
The repair that's on it is questionable because I didn't do it, and because the individual that did also repaired other things on the car that nearly killed me already. Couple that with the fact that the car had the engine, turbo, radiator, and heater core replaced because of a massive melt-down..... I just don't want to screw with the cooling system. I want to get it back to a basic state where all my hoses are new and all my parts are solid before I go messing about with modifications.
