1992 legacy 2.2 liter 5 speed turbo engine removal

Post by bporteriii »

I am in the process of removing the engine out of my 1992 5 speed Legacy Sport Sedan. It is being transferred to my 1993 Auto Legacy Sport Sedan. I am having problems with the removal, I am all the way to pulling it out but having trouble sliding the engine off the studs from the trans axle. Did I miss something here? I have a Haynes manual and have performed all of the steps but I have a feeling there was something in the trans axle that needed to be disconnected first like maybe the clutch fork or something else? Any help would be appreciated!

Git 'er done? I was in the same boat yesterday... works much easier when you pull the clutch fork axle out!
