short throw for 91 legacy need answers

can i use the short throw of a wrx or a pre 05 sti...without modding it

You might need a few misc. nuts and bolts, but a GD/GG WRX 5spd shifter should pretty much fit right in.

STi 6-speed, different animal.

Completely possible, and a complete pain in the ass. Take it to a shop once you get the parts.
The STI is MUCH shorter throw.
