it was de-catted when I got it,and the exhaust was in horrible shape,I'm peicing togetbher a new exhaust and will have to meat Ontario's emmisions testing. So what is my best option in terms of tradeoff on price,low restriction and still being able to pass smog tests? Be nice I am new to this.

Metal substrate cats have come WAY down in price. Like the ones Random Technologies sells.

you could put in a used wrx dp and then gut it later for pretty cheap
