FINALLY!

Post by biggreen96 »

Finally got my wagon back together. It was a long shitty summer without a car to road trip/camp/drive to the rivers/drive for fun/ get groceries/get to work in the rain/ etc etc. But hey I guess I saved gas money.

I broke 2nd gear the last week of June. DHL lost the transmission Splinter hooked me up with and it sat in their lost and found forever. I figured it was held up in customs or something... When I did get it in, the clutch wasn't acting right. Pull the engine this time- separate the PP from the flywheel and chunks of metal come raining out. I broke the internals of the CLUTCH DISK. The guys at the dealership were baffled, never seen a break like that before.

Got her back together one hour ago(10pm) and just had to make a few runs on the outskirts of town. Moscow hasn't heard my Subaru wail for 10 weeks, but it sure did tonight. There's no better feeling than having it start first time, no CELS, no leaks, just great burbling.

Good night!

Nice job. Great feeling, isn't it? ^_^ Figure out how you busted the disc?

Yes!

Glad to hear the beast is back, eating fuel and sounding like a herald of the apocalypse.

And to think that 2 months ago before the tranny blew I wanted to fit a stock Sti muffler to reduce the noise some. TO HELL WITH THAT IDEA. I missed it too much.
