WTB: Left side automatic seatbelt assembly
I am in need of the left side automatic seatbelt assembly. The seatbelt light in my subaru that I just recently purchased keeps blinking on and on and on it does not shut off unless the car is off. I was told that this assembly was bad, and I needed to replace it.
Also need a passenger front door power window switch.

Does the seatbelt assembly work? If it works or is stuck in the forward position, there's a key on the underside of the center armrest that you can use to move the seatbelt mouse to its safe position. That might shut off your light and then you can just unbuckle it with the button.

Sounds like you just have a bad sensor for the thing, not the assembly. Might just be a plug somewhere or something that's disconnected. You might want to PM Blackbart for stuff.

If the belt system works then it isn't the problem. The light's on because it can't tell it's working so the switch inside the belt latch that kills it or a connector or something is bad. If you can't yank the belt mechanism by hand, it's most likely fine and the light's little more than an annoyance.
You can find Blackbart on the member list or you can probably find a thread of his somewhere in the parts shed.

When the seat belt is locked into the safe position, you shouldn't be able to pull it back down the track by hand. If you can, it's probably not safe in an accident. I'm not sure how the mechanism sensor is set up, so if you can pull it by hand, it's not locking down properly and the light may be on to let you know that. It's POSSIBLE that you might be able to lock it in properly with the key in the arm rest if it isn't seating right.
If it is locking in fine, it's more than likely just a faulty sensor/switch not shutting off the light.
