This hurts but here we go:
For Sale:
1994 Subaru AWD Legacy GT. 2.2L, cold AC, automatic AWD. Lowered slightly with new coil over shocks and Eibach springs, pioneer stereo and speakers with ipod hook up. Perfect Power SMT6 computer with data logging/tuning port. New Turbo engine installed just over one year ago. New Engine has 16,000 miles. New 4EAT automatic transmission with 5,000 miles installed 6 months ago with 2-year warranty. I just put a full set of WRX brake rotors and calipers on the front and rear with new pads less that 100 miles ago. Very reliable, very fun car to drive. Basically a brand new car. I bought the car stock and all upgrades have been performed since I purchased the car 4 years ago. You won’t find another GT wagon like this anywhere around here. I will include a free Dell laptop for tuning as well.
(Doug Vincent built this motor so if you have ever been to this site more than once, you'll know that he has a "little" experience with the EJ22)
$4500
(I'm into this thing for over twice that. I insist on doing things the right way and spending the extra $$ to do it)

Just make a cardboard pattern of the hood scoop opening. Place it where you want it, then cut out the hood with a body saw. I used most of the factory clips that came from the original donor car (early STI I believe) and used small pieces of sheet metal bent slightly to make a spring like mounting clip for any other areas that seemed loose.
When the hole is cut in the hood you end up removing some of the metal U-channel that helps keep it rigid and straight. Because of this the scoop was very floppy in the rear (towards windshield) and bounced a lot as wind caught the scoop. The easy solution was filling the voids between the two layers of sheet metal with expanding spray foam, and yes I used "Great Stuff Gap and Crack Filler" from Home Depot. After it cured I trimmed it back witch a razor and painted it black. It worked like a charm.
With that said. Anybody want to buy this thing?

Interesting. I was wondering about that scoop as well. I'm in the middle of putting a WRX scoop on my 91 SS. I cut a hole the size of the inside of the scoop(not the outside edge)and the scoop sits on top of the hood. I still need to cut some more to get it all the way flat on the hood and then figure out a way to bolt it in. If I can find a hollow threaded piece that would thread onto the little short studs that come off the scoop I can use that to connect another stud so it's long enough to go all the way through the hood and then put a nut on it to secure it to the hood.
Beware, once you cut the hole larger the hood is much flimsier. I need to weld in some support because it's too flimsy now.
Nice car BTW!
