Possible to connect wrong cable to fuel injector?

I hope this isn't a dumb question, but is it possible to mix up the electrical connectors between the 2 fuel injectors on each side of the 2.2 engine?

Yes... all 4 fuel injector plugs are the same, but they're usually routed so you can't stretch them to reach the wrong injector.
