Got in accident: Best auto-body shops?

Post by MacNews »

I was driving along Mountain Highway just before Main Street where the road curves to the right, and a raised Ford Excursion leaned into my lane and left a nice dent and mark on my divers side passenger door.

The guy had huge tires on, you can see how high they are compared to my car lol.

Luckily the accident was his fault and he is paying, so I was wondering what auto-body shops you'd recommend? (I'm in Vancouver, Canada)

I am thinking of getting a quote from Craftsmen Collision on Monday, but I hear they do a poor job of colour-matching the paint.

You could always request that they paint the whole car to color match :D

I've heard that occasionally that will work... But i kinda doubt it.

Looks like it was raced in a NASCAR event.

You shouldn't have a problem finding a shop to repair that. That whole side of the car will have to be repainted in order to fix it "correctly."

I know its been a couple months, but I finally got my door repaired last Monday at Tip Top Collision in North Van.

ICBC paid for it, the total was $800.

Nice they fixed the rust good too. Did you fix both sides to make it look even or just that side?

They just fixed that side, but it looks good to me. I had to cough up a little extra for the rust, but it was worth it IMO.

Edit: They colour-matched the paint, but you can't tell because the lighting is different in the two photos.
