I'll tell you that the very best upgrade I did to mine (funny!-91 Legacy Turbo factory 5-speed) was to install a set of the JVT stainless steel headers. These come with an integrated up-pipe so that you can just throw all of the factory crap right in the scrap pile. I wrapped them completely with Thermo-Tec copper header wrap, and then used their copper spray on them. I thoroughly coated the wrapped headers with the spray, because it keeps the wrap from rotting out. Then I used QUITE A FEW of their stainless ties to tie the wrap on so that it won't fall off at all. I also gutted both cats, (Which you can do because the oxygen sensor is before the cats)and did the same exact wrap job on the stock down-pipe. Now, the headers and down-pipe look like burlap (no kidding!) but, this is the coolest and most efficient setup I have found. I also used the Thermo-Tec turbo blanket to wrap the turbo. I really don't know numbers, but I will tell you that just doing this alone made my car ridiculously faster, and I would say that if you did this you would love it! Best and definitely the most noticeable mod I have ever done to mine. Plus it sounds really good too. That turbo spools so fast now it's insane! YOU WILL HIT THE FACTORY FUEL CUT WITH THIS SETUP. It actually boosts so much now that I need to put a boost controller on it. I also took the hood scoop pan and turbo chimney off so that it could cool the turbo alot better with all the heat wrap all over the exhaust system.

JVT Headers=anywhere from $300-400

Prices from Summit Racing:

Copper wrap=(2 Rolls) $49.95 a roll Part #THE-11032
Turbo Blanket=(1) $35.39 Part #THE-15003
Spray Coating=(2) $9.95 each Part #THE-12003
Stainless Straps=(4-5) $22.39 each Part# THE-13160

Pushing you back into your seat=$PRICELESS
