Workplace Theft

Post by 93forestpearl »

Someone broke into our building over the weekend and took a bunch of computers. They didn't take the one I work on or the server (thank goodness), but damn. They knew their way around the plant, so its pretty obvious that they used to work here.

We don't know yet if there is anything else missing, but its kind of errie to think about. This place isn't the most secure, thats for sure. I just don't see how a couple computers and a monitor are even remotely worth it.

We've had 2 layoffs at work in the past few months. After the first one, they changed all of our security materials - just used to be a key FOB, now we have photo ID cards.

Stuff like that is scary. We work with a lot of private data, and if a angry former employee wanted at it, they could probably do it.
