These are readily available, and seem close to the correct width:

Does anyone have access to a later model Forester to measure the width of the top of the tailgate where this would mount?

Not expecting a bolt-on, but if it's close, I'd like to try, like the 2nd gen Leg wagon spoilers can be fit to the BF with a little work.

i'll get the meaurements a bit later today

ok it will fit only if you remove the mounting studs.
it looks like it will fit very flush to the hatch on my 93 TW. the sides should also fit flush too
it will however cover the top trim edge of the rear glass but its not an issue

the dimensions
side to side 46.25"
center on the top edge of hatch to center of outer edge of the spoiler 11.5"
side height from bottom edge to top 5.5"

Hey, if you already have it off the Forester would you mind
holding it up to the car and taking a picture? I'd be interested
in seeing how it looks on there.

i'm parting out my forester now and i'll test fit the spoiler

ok its about 2" too wide to fit the top of the wagon liftgate

I'm on the fence about cutting out the extra width to make it fit but i think i should do it just to be the first

sorry i didn't take a pic i was busy helping out with a friend who drives a JDM 94 legacy rs sedan thats having some issues

No problem dude. If you end up cutting it you could make
it work and with a bit of sanding and repainting it could be
freakin sweet :D

I'm going to cut and test fit the forester spoiler this week weather permitting
as I measured it its about 2" too wide and the profile side needs to be trimmed to match the wagon hatch

here are the first pics from my fitment test

Will that hit your basket up there? Looks good
so far dude :D

Now two things:

Where did you get that basket and how much was it?
What kind of rear wiper arm do you have?

I have the newer 04+ style plastic wiper arm and I mounted the rear sprayer at the top of the hatch see it in the pics.
As for the roof basket its aluminum and weighs about 20lbs I got it at princess auto its the canadian version of harbor frieght. I paid $150+taxes and its very well made easy to assemble too.

i had to cut like 4" out of my RX300 spoiler to make that fit... make sure when you glue it back together you use metal plates on the inside or it will crack

Oh, I see the sprayer up there. Man, that's cool.
And the basket...not a bad deal :D I'm gonna have
to look around for one of those.

Looks like it's meant to be there. Not sure what it's doing functionally with that badass roof rack in front of it, but it looks good.
