My new ride
Just wanted to say thanks for the great postings on strut replacements. I had never done a set and after reading up on the subject a bit I went for it. Had no problem and now the car drives great. Picked up some KYB struts and used the original springs. Wish I had taken some pics of the car before the struts and wheels. Had one strut frozen on the rear and 14in modern 5 spoke wheels. Nice huh! I am now a member and here are some pics of the subie.

Welcome. Nice car, real straight body. What are those wheels off of?
You're missing a license plate in the front. Don't get a ticket.

Thanks guys.
I picked up the set of wheels and tires from CL.
They were off a 2006 Impreza Outback Sport. Is that what a GG OBS is?
Sorry not down with the short hand yet.

Which means, of course, you, my friend, have, like many others here, just recieved a BJ.

How do you like it?

I would have to say that this is a great BJ then. This is my first Legacy and I am so very pleased with it. With 146,xxx miles, it should be good to go for a while. My only issue worth whining about is the lack of drivers seat room for a 6'2" dude compared to my old GG OBS. But I accept that downside no problem. I will post a few pics of the old pickup in the next day or so. Just need some daylight.

Nope...Lifted the car a little. Did a measurement before and after and can't remember the exact numbers but, the left rear was partly frozen so the car had quite the low spot. It has been a couple months now since the install and it seems to have settled down a bit. You notice much difference with that sway bar setup you have?

The rear swaybar makes a huge difference in handling. I originally installed a 18mm (i think) Outback rsb and it sharpened up the handling nicely. I then upgraded to a Whiteline 20/22/24mm adjustable and on the 20mm setting I can kick the tail out on offramps. I highly reccomend it.
