Intake manifold removal help!
Hey guys, so i have a leak in my passenger intake manifold gasket. Its causing the car to idle extremely rough unless i keep it over 2000rpms. I just got the gaskets to replace it and had a few questions. This is on a 93 legacy L sedan btw. Do i need to release the fuel pressure before i start? This is the only thing im not sure of, everything else looks fairly strait forward. If you've replaced these gaskets before and have some advice that would be great too! Is there anything else i should fix while i have the manifold off? Thanks
You may as well relieve the fuel pressure, because you'll probably have to disconnect a fuel line somewhere along the line so you can lift up the manifold. You might be able to get away without doing that though.
To relieve it, start your car, lift up your backseat and disconnect the plug that powers your fuel pump and let the car die. Simple as that.
