Considering buying a 91 LS AWD wagon
Are these good cars? I'm looking at a 91 Legacy LS wagon with the 5 speed and full-time 4 wheel drive. The wagon has AC, cruise, power windows and locks and a power sliding sunroof. It's been sitting since October and it needs a rear hatch and some rust repair on the right rear fender. I could get it for about 250 bucks. Would it be worth it?
Yes very good cars. If it has minor rust, starts, drives and the clutch holds, buy it! Check the fluids, specifically the motor oil. If you do buy it, replace all fluids right away, including diff and trans oil. New coolant would be a good idea to help the water pump last.
Also ask when the timing belt was done. They are due every 60k miles or 100k km. With my car first things I had planned since it was used was plugs, wires, filters, oils, timing belt, idler, and water pump.
