spark issue....

hey guys i started realizing awhile after i got my car that some hesitation issues started coming up. so i took it to matt at 555 motorsports to see if it was maybe tuned out of whack, he suggested putting new wires/plugs/fuel filter etc before starting the tune in case that was the problem.

so since my coil pack is relocated i had to get the7mm do it yourself kit for the wires. i ended up getting NGK-R bk7re ( i believe was the part #), which matt suggested to gap at 28/1000. so i did that, and right when i put the plugs and wires back in i took it for a spin, it ran absolutely amazing i was sooo excited. then the next day it just started running crappy again like before i changed wires/plugs.

anyways i just dont understand, now i made sure that all 4 plugs are in there tight enough, all 4 plug ends are on there as good as they are gonna get, and all of the ends in the coil pack are all in there fine. And it still runs like crap like its missing or something. im not quite sure if i should just go out and get more plugs/wires but if its going to do this again then there is no point... so im just looking for suggestions i guess
thanks guys

Sounds like the plugs are fouling up.
Have you checked for trouble codes? Did you change the air and fuel filters?

air filter is aftermarket and it should be fine. fuel filter is brand new. no codes were coming up before... any other posible causes?

Have you had a look at the plugs? Since the new ones fixed it for a while and then failed it seems likely that they are fouling up with something, could be petrol, oil, sucking up brakefluid, who knows.

If plugs get fouled it can be caused by contamination, too cooler plug, to much load on the plug.

Just reread your first post, twenty-eight thou isn't enough gap for a subaru, set it to specs when you are inspecting them and see if that helps.

ok, so what would you recommend for the gap then?
i got new plugs so im going to clean out my air filter, the fuel filter is brand new. also matt recommended the ngk bkr7e, i was running the 6e, so i got the 6e again just incase that had somethin to do with it.

I doubt it would be the leads, they miss or they don't, but not intermittently.

The plugs I am not sure of your model but it should be thirty-two thou I'd think.

ok, well my air filter is drying now, when we pulled it off we noticed some oil (im guessing) in the MAF,so i will try to pick up another MAF when some more money comes my way. other than that i got new plugs so i will put those in in the morning and see how that works. thanks for the help

Swap the coil.

The PP6 burns out the coil if you leave the key in the on position for a period of time.
