Auto that won't shift out of first? (Car I'm looking to buy)

Theres a cheap auto legacy near me that won't shift shift out of first... any quick fixes or work arounds so that I won't need to rent a trailer to bring it home??

Do you mean when you go to D only stays in first gear? Check the tranny fluid, maybe replace it?
