Might take the plunge.

Post by oops2low »

so im in need of a car right now and there is a pretty stout looking 91 subaru legacy sedan 5 speed manual box, 2.2L NA model im pretty sure. :(
car looks pretty good from what i can tell in the ad and the few times ive seen it around town driving.
Im going to see it today and drive it so ill be able to describe it some more. Hes asking 1100 without a battery. car has 170k
A/C works great, power windows, power locks,4 wheel disc brakes with aprox 65% life left, new cv axle, new tires, new clutch with life time
warranty, new front struts and STI springs.

bads: power steering not working, shifter bushings may need replacing, and passenger rear window works but needs help when putting it up the car also needs a battery

let me know what you guys think about this. i really do wish it was an SS turbo model but i do need a car and this one is pretty cheap and reliable if i can talk him down a bit.
thanks a lot!

What part of FL are you in?

Is the car FWD or AWD?

Sounds like a pretty good deal, as long as there's no rust.

Shifter bushings are a major PITA, but can be done. Power steering pumps are pretty easy, and I think I have a good one sitting around somewhere. Window probably has a tired motor.

Got any pics?
