94 t-leg
stock turbo with manual boost control
wrx TMIC
3" downpipe with exhaust and a forester muffler
Running 11-12 psi
Walbro pump
oh the coffe cup mod is done
What next on the engine? Ive been searching and found
NA fuel rails, bigger injectors and a bigger turbo then manage it all with a standalone management.
Is there something esle i can do before making that step? can I add the fuel rail and injectors and run them with the stock ecu?
hmm maybe the grounding mod tonight for me.

better intake temps over a top mount, a little more work though.

Doesnt the length of the hose produce more turbo lag, also doesnt the legnth of hose in the hot engine compartment negate any gains you would get from a FIC setup?!

Where you put your filter has a much larger effect on your intake temps than heat transferring through the piping. Its not really a major issue.
The lag thing is a hotly debated topic. The size of your intercooler and turbo play a big part. A small turbo with a large intercooler takes a bit more to pressurize all that volume. A larger turbo will move enough air for a big FMIC to not be a factor. A properly matched front mount for your turbo will not induce much lag, but most of the bolt-in(ish) FMIC kits have miles of piping so that has a lot of volume for a turbo like a VF11.
Also, if you have a wideband (you should have one if you are messing with a turbo car), I'd also consider the Maf Translator Pro for a piggyback, if you don't want to drop the cash on a G4 Storm. Although the Storm would be the better option.
