Auto to MT swap, which is the better donor for a 93 impreza?

i have recently acquired a 93 L AWD wagon with a ej18 and a 4EAT.

at some point i would like to make it a MT.

can i use everything from my old Legacy SS?

i am thinking that using an impreza pedal box would be better, as well as the less expensive trans/clutch combo would be better in the long run too.

which MT subarus have the 4.44 final drive?

Blackbart told me about six weeks ago he sells them with the master cylinder. I ran across a t-leg at the local u-pull-&-pay with the peddles still in it. I was going to pull them in case someone needed it but decided not to. If you strike out, I may being going back in a week for parts to fix my friends car.

Ooopps.... I guess I read the post too quickly. T-leg pedals will only work in a G11 WRX body. I think you would have to use Legacy777's clutch hole template to make them work. I'm guessing the pedals out of a NA 5sp would work if you are going with a pull clutch/tranny setup from am NA 5sp.

You have to match the pedals to the clutch type you're using. Primarily cable or hydraulic. For the most part (to my knowledge) the hydraulic pedals should work on both a pull & push style clutch setup. You just have to have the correct master & slave cylinder setup.

As for the template, I believe all the Imprezas "should" be cut for the hydraulic clutch master cylinder. If not, you can probably use my template.
